The rumour of the Strokes performing at Leeds Festival 2010 heated up this week as the band announced that they will be headlining the Isle of White Festival.Apparently the alt-rock band have also said that they plan to play at more festivals in the summer of 2010, but I am yet to find a source for this.
The Strokes will be reforming in January 2010 when front man Julian Casablancas ends his solo tour.
Edit: Thanks very much to our reader Stuart for finding us a source. Casablancas admitted that the band has spent five months earlier this year working "on a bunch of songs" for the group's fourth album.
He also added "I think we've subtly been feeling urgent about making a new album.
"When we meet with the band and talk and play music, it's just a different level of ease and comfort,"
